Dear Portfolio Reader: 
 
English is the best class in the world for me this year and I just wanted you all to know that my English teachers were the best English teachers I have ever had. They made English understandable and fun to learn. I have been taught so many things that I wish I learned last year. This has to be the best year I have ever had in English. 
 
 
When I came into English 09 I was a little bit scared because English is not my strongest subject, but after the first nine weeks I felt like I could trust my teachers and I could strive to do amazing in the class because they made it fun to do. When I was in eighth grade my writing wasn’t the best because it didn’t have a lot of punctuation, I used wrong words and misspelled words a whole bunch. On my papers I would keep getting advice from my teacher about what I’m doing wrong but it just never helped me. 
 
 
During my English 09 class I came into it a little bit shaky because my writing wasn’t the best, but my teachers didn’t care if I didn’t have good writing because they knew they could help me and make it ten times better than it was. My writing this year was a tremendous improvement from last year. At the end of this year I am able to now write a good five paragraph essay that will make the readers mouth drop. They have taught me so well and they have to be some of the most amazing, helpful, fun teachers in the world. 
 
 
My writing from eighth grade to now has jumped forward in success a ton. I wouldn’t be the person who could write this today if it weren’t for them. I wrote about ten good essay’s for them this year and I am prouder then I have ever been for my writing. I can’t thank them enough for making me the writer I am today. It is truly amazing what they have done. I hope that the teacher I have next year is as amazing as these two.
